Saving mama's money

Traveling on the cheap

Your kids are out of school and summer is here.  Let’s go on vacation … on the cheap of course.

I’m sure many of you will take to the road, as those summer road trip plans will be in full force. Have you seen the prices of gas today? The daily average today is $2.59 a gallon and I know you too have felt severe pain at the pump.

How many of my fellow frugal mom’s shop at Kroger, did you know you could earn fuel points just for buying groceries? When you shop at Kroger and use your Kroger plus card, you’ll accumulate fuel points each time you shop. Kroger matches one fuel point per $1 spent.

If you redeem your points at Kroger gas stations, you can select the amount of savings you want from 10 cents up to $1 per gallon. You can also redeem fuel points at participating Shell gas stations within the state of Texas. Since grocery shopping is a never ending chore, why not shop at a store where you can spend for your family and receive savings at the same time!

For your convenience, please download a printable brochure from Shell and Kroger. See you on the road.
