PGA TOUR Golfer Tom Hoge Pledges Donation to Cook Children’s for Every Birdie Made During the 2025 Season
PGA Tour golfer Tom Hoge is raising funds for Cook Children’s, the pediatric health care system located in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas. For every birdie Hoge makes during the 2025 PGA TOUR season, he will donate $50. For every eagle, he will donate $100.
In the primary 2024 PGA TOUR season, Hoge led the tour in number of birdies with 314 total. A birdie is a score of one-under par on a hole, meaning you finished the hole in one stroke less than expected.
Hoge’s birdie campaign, “Birdies for Basic Needs,” benefits Cook Children’s Case Management department.
The Cook Children's Case Management team plays an integral role in delivering the family-centered care that distinguishes Cook Children's. When a child has an unexpected medical emergency or experiences a prolonged illness, being in the hospital can disrupt the family’s ability to meet their basic needs. Meals, housing, utility bills – those things essential in life – can leave a family vulnerable when faced with unexpected medical bills or costly prescriptions. Being present with a sick child means being away from work – for days, weeks, even months at a time – which can affect a family’s income. This is where Cook Children’s donor-funded Case Management team comes into play by helping to provide for families’ basic needs so they can focus on the healing of their child.

In 2022, Hoge and his wife, Kelly, gave a transformational gift to Cook Children’s, providing the largest single donation to Case Management to date. In 2024, Cook Children’s became an official partner of Hoge. Because both parties are located in Fort Worth and have a passion for excellence and giving back, it seemed a natural fit for a purpose-driven partnership.

We always wanted to work on a campaign to help drive donations to their important mission” Hoge stated. “After sitting with the team, we created the Birdies for Basic Needs Campaign, where I’ll be supporting the Case Management department of Cook Children’s. About Tom Hoge
Tom Hoge is a PGA TOUR professional and champion golfer known for his precision and resilience on the course. He was born in Statesville, North Carolina, grew up in Fargo, North Dakota, and played college golf at Texas Christian University. He turned pro in 2011 and joined the PGA TOUR in 2015. He won the 2022 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, set the course record at TPC Sawgrass during the 2023 Players Championship and had four top ten finishes in 2024. Recently inducted into the Texas Christian University Athletics Hall of Fame, Hoge has qualified for the season ending Tour Championship in two of the last three seasons. He and his family reside in Fort Worth, TX.
