There is currently no vaccine available for COVID-19. Studies are currently underway, but they are in the very early stages and there is no clear timeline for when it will be available.
Treatment for COVID-19 in children is mostly supportive. Making sure that they are drinking well and not having trouble breathing are the two major things you can do to help your child. Novel treatments such as antivirals and other medications are being studied, but it is not clear when those will be available for treatment-especially in children.
