PGA Tour Pros Bring Charles Schwab Challenge Excitement to Cook Children’s Atrium

The PGA’s Tour’s Charles Schwab Challenge took on a brand-new course on Tuesday: The Cook Children’s Medical Center – Fort Worth Atrium.

The annual "Bed Pan Open" welcomed pro golfers Nick Dunlap, Mason Howell, Charley Hoffman, and Doug Ghim for a day of fun. For more than 20 years, the Bed Pan Open has given patients a fun break from their routine at the medical center.

Patients, families, caregivers, and employees worked their way around a creative miniature golf course designed by Cook Children’s Child Life, Volunteer Services, and Linbeck. The unique course transformed bed pans into imaginative obstacles, featuring everything from a pirate ship to "Peak’s Palace" castle.

The event brought immense joy to the atrium as patient athletes shared laughs, sank putts, and even got a few championship pointers from the pros themselves.
