Dr.Varughese received her B.S in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University and M.D from the University of Texas in Houston. She then went on to complete a residency program in Long Island, New York and was appointed as clinical professor of pediatrics at Stony Brook University Hospital teaching and supervising medical students and residents. After that, she was in private practice in Northern New Jersey for 5 years. She moved back to her hometown of Dallas, TX and joined Cook Children's Physician Network in Lewisville in 2013.
She is married to Dr. Shane Varughese and has two children, Noah and Sarah who are the joy of her life. Dr. Varughese enjoys photography, cooking, and church activities. She also volunteers her time as a physician at GRACE community clinic helping those who have poor access to healthcare. She has over 10 years of pediatric experience, and her passion in life is taking care of children and educating families on newborn care, preventative care and battling childhood obesity.
